MMG regularly engages with landholders, Traditional Owners, local government, community organisations and others stakeholders in relation to the Dugald River project.
MMG has an Agreement with the Kalkadoon People, the Traditional Owners of the land on which the Dugald River mine is being developed. The Agreement provides for training, employment and business development opportunities and cultural recognition for the life of the mine.
MMG also has a close working relationship with the Mitakoodi People, whose history is linked to the Cloncurry township and areas to the south and east of the Dugald River project.
In addition, our Dugald River team maintains positive and open working relationships with landholders associated with the project.
Through regular face-to-face discussions, community sessions and updates, MMG informs and consults with stakeholders regarding Dugald River’s development.
MMG supports a range of local organisations and events, including:
- The Cloncurry Weir expansion;
- NAIDO celebrations in Cloncurry and Mount Isa;
- The Isolated Children’s and Parents Association Queensland conference;
- RACQ Careflight North West Rescue Helicopter; and
- Quamby Rodeo. Contact Dugald River:
