Midwest life education
In 2010, Golden Grove entered into a two-year sponsorship arrangement with the Mid West branch of Life Education Australia to bring a curriculum linked life skill, resilience, healthy lifestyle, and food and nutrition program to primary school aged students throughout the Mid West region including Yalgoo primary school.
MWLEC is a not-for-profit non-government organisation providing positive education programs designed to develop the social skills and knowledge necessary for effective decision-making, communication, negotiation, peer resistance and refusal in drug-related situations in schools across the Mid-West region of Western Australia.
The grant provided by Golden Grove will enable rural and regional children to access Life Education Sessions, while also supporting the activities of the Yalgoo Indigenous Children’s Program.
