Mother and child health
Sepon and the Macfarlane Burnet Institute, in cooperation with Vilabouly District’s Department of Health, are working to implement a mother and child health project. Throughout the district, the project aims to improve the health status of mothers and children, improve the knowledge and skills of healthcare personnel, and improve the nutritional status of infants and children.
The project puts emphasis on the training and capacity building of district staff, thereby improving the quality of service available to the communities.
A vaccination programme, including issuing vaccination cards, has been very successful.
