For MMG, climate action is a responsibility and an opportunity to strengthen operational resilience, contribute to global decarbonisation, and build a business ready to grow in a low carbon future.
This focus area is anchored in the material topic Energy and Climate Change Action. It covers how we manage our energy use and emissions footprint, and how we build climate considerations into planning, governance and decision making. It reflects our work to improve emissions data quality across scopes and to strengthen climate risk understanding through updates to our Climate Strategy.
We recognise that progress depends on practical, site-led action. Across the business, teams are advancing energy efficiency initiatives, electrification studies and renewable energy planning, while strengthening collaboration between functions so climate work is embedded—not bolted on.
