  • Local supplier definition: A local supplier is a business/entity legally registered and operating in the same region as the MMG site where goods or services are delivered.
  • Spend on local suppliers: Monetary value of goods and services procured from qualifying local suppliers, attributable to operational or capital expenditure within the calendar year; reported in USD and based on actual spend (not budget/forecast).
  • Exclusions: Internal transfers within MMG; salaries; taxes/royalties; community donations; and payments to intermediaries without local business registration.
  • Currency handling: Figures are reported in USD using MMG’s average exchange rate for the reporting period.
