Our products and sustainable value chains

Why this is a focus area

The minerals we produce are essential to the global transition toward clean energy, electrification and modern infrastructure. As expectations rise, responsibly produced minerals require not only strong site practices, but ethical, sustainable and transparent value chains. At MMG, we see this as an opportunity to lead—by strengthening product stewardship and working with partners across the lifecycle of our products.

This focus area is shaped by two material topics: Circular Economy and Supply Chain Resilience. Circular economy thinking helps us reduce waste, improve efficiency and look for ways to keep materials in use—supporting more sustainable production and recovery over time. Supply chain resilience reflects how we secure reliable goods and services while also setting clear expectations for suppliers and supporting capability building in the regions where we operate.

Our approach is guided by MMG policies and supplier standards that define expectations for contractors, suppliers and partners. We recognise responsibility does not end at the gate—it extends across relationships, procurement decisions and the systems our products support.
