MMG Limited (MMG) maintained stable production during the third quarter of 2026. Total copper production increased three per cent year-on-year, supported by higher production from Khoemacau and Kinsevere, while total zinc production decreased five per cent year-on-year. Record quarterly silver production at Dugald River and strong silver production across the portfolio provided significant by-product credits, supporting strong C1 cost performance.
MMG is deeply saddened to report the deaths at Las Bambas of two of our team members during the quarter. Richard José Flores Rhea and Tony Nilson González Challa, were fatally injured during the replacement of a pump at the clarification pond.
“Our thoughts are with their families, friends and colleagues, and we are committed to continuing to support those affected by this tragic event,” said MMG CEO Ivo Zhao. “We are focused on learning from this event, and on strengthening safety and risk management across our operations.”
The Total Recordable Injury Frequency (TRIF) for the third quarter of 2026 was 2.81 per million hours worked, compared to 2.05 per million hours worked in the second quarter of 2026. The Significant Events with Energy Exchange Frequency (SEEEF) was 0.91 per million hours worked, compared to 0.82 in the second quarter. Maintaining a focus on safe work, critical controls and the reporting of Significant Events with No Energy Exchange (SENEE) remains a priority across all operations.
Total copper production, including copper in concentrate and cathode, was 131,215 tonnes, underpinned by a solid contribution from Las Bambas, which produced 100,289 tonnes of copper in concentrate. Khoemacau delivered 11,242 tonnes of copper in concentrate, a 24 percent increase year-on-year, supported by higher copper feed grades and favourable metallurgical recovery. Kinsevere produced 19,435 tonnes of copper cathode, a 31 per cent increase year on year reflecting increased mining activity and the continued ramp-up of the sulphide processing circuit.
Total zinc production was 55,914 tonnes. Dugald River produced 47,784 tonnes of zinc in zinc concentrate and achieved record quarterly silver production. Rosebery produced 26,678 tonnes of zinc equivalent, with zinc production of 8,130 tonnes, reflecting reduced ore availability following seismic activity in the X-South lens area.
“Our operations continued to deliver stable production through the quarter, supported by strong year-to-date C1 cost performance. We remain focused on finishing the year well, with Las Bambas on track to deliver at the upper end of its 2026 production guidance,” said MMG CEO Ivo Zhao.
