Correction to MMG’s 2025 Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves Statement

A correction – relating to estimates of illegal mining tonnes, grade and copper metal at Sulfobamba – has been made to MMG’s 2025 Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves Statement.  

The following information has been updated: 

Page 15  

  • removal of a further 15kt copper from Sulfobamba deposit at Las Bambas due to illegal mining over the last 12 months taking the total estimated depletion due to illegal mining to 90kt copper; and  

Page 53  

  • MMG have estimated the quantity of illegally mined ore from Sulfobamba Mineral Resource to be a total 4Mt @ 2.2% Cu equating to approximately 90kt Cu metal.  

Page 70   

  • An assessment has been conducted of the ore extracted by artisanal mining since it started in 2010 to 30 June 2025, as a result it is estimated that 2.8Mt of ore with an assumed grade of 1.2% have been extracted and are accounted as a loss to the Ore Reserve.   

The correction did not necessitate any broader updates to the 2025 MROR Statement. Read the full statement here.
