MMG Limited (MMG) welcomes the temporary removal of roadblocks which have disrupted logistics transport since 18 October 2021.
The agreement to remove roadblocks follows the visit on 27 October 2021 (Peru time) by Mirtha Vásquez the President of the Council of Ministers of Peru.
MMG CEO Geoffrey Gao said the Company was pleased to recommence the transport of logistics and to continue its dialogue with Peru’s National Government and community representatives.
“We look forward to participating in dialogue which is set to take place on 8 November. We are committed to working towards an enduring agreement with all parties involved,” Mr Gao added.
Production at Las Bambas has not been significantly impacted and concentrate trucking, people and re-supply logistics will resume from 30 October 2021(Peru time).
