DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO:
In response to media reporting today following the release of MMG Interim Results, MMG Limited (MMG) wishes to make clear that it has no knowledge of proposed arbitration activity on behalf of Glencore or Randgold against the DRC Government.

The comments attributed to MMG were a reflection of opinion and not an indication of any prior knowledge of the intentions of Glencore or Randgold.

MMG remain committed to working in consultation with the DRC Government, Industry and Civil Society groups regarding its concerns with the application of the 2018 Mining Code.
