SAG Mill back on line at Golden Grove

MMG was pleased to advise today that the Semi-Autogenous Grinding (SAG) Mill at its Golden Grove operation in Western Australia was back on line. The Mill was taken off line in early June due to a failure of the discharge trunnion bearing which the company advised would take approximately 3 to 4 weeks to repair.

Installation of a replacement trunnion was completed late last week and ramp up back to full capacity of the SAG Mill is now well under way. In the period of the SAG Mill outage, ore was stockpiled and a limited amount fed through a tertiary system to create feed for the ball mill and maintain some concentrate production.

MMG Chief Operating Officer, Mr Brett Fletcher said, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the team that worked on delivering a fast, professional and safe result.”
