Update to the incident at Dugald River mine

MMG Limited refers to its prior update on 15 February regarding the incident at the Dugald River mine.

Rescue efforts have continued overnight and the site’s emergency response team continues to work in close coordination with Barminco and emergency services.

Data captured from drone footage yesterday has enabled the rescue team to start active access to the vehicle which will involve reaching the vehicle from below.

Dugald River mine General Manager, Tim Akroyd said that site’s priority is to reach the vehicle as soon as possible while ensuring the safety of our highly trained emergency response team.

“Our thoughts are with the families of our missing Barminco colleagues in what is an incredibly difficult time. We continue to extend our support,” he said.

MMG continues to work in close coordination with Barminco, our mining partners, to support the entire Dugald River team.

Further updates will be provided as they become available.
